in National economy. The marketing assistance to the registered
small scale units through preferential purchase by the central
and State Purchase Organisation has been emphasized. The assistance
includes the following – |

sector units Price preference up to 15% in case of selected items which are produced in small scale units |

| Besides this, the single point registration scheme of NSIC is in operation,
as a market support measure for the SSI Sector. Under the scheme,
following benefits are given to the SSI units which get themselves
registered with NSIC |

| payment of security Deposit | |
| Exemption from payment of Earnest Money Deposit | |

Price preference up to 15% over the lowest quotation of the large
scale unit (on merits) |

| SISI provides Inspection report giving qualitative and quantitative capacity and gives recommendations on competency of the unit for registration of the SSI under the scheme | |
| Training Programmes : | |
| Training programmes on various aspects of marketing like Marketing Management, Export Marketing, Export Documentation, procedures and Export Packaging are also conducted from time to time. |
